The United States District Court for the District of Maryland is currently reviewing the proposed, attached Principles for the Discovery of Electronically Stored Information in Civil Cases. The Court’s Subcommittee to Propose Revisions to the Electronically Stored Information Protocol has drafted these Principles and recommended them for approval by the Court.
This Subcommittee was established by the Court’s Bench-Bar Liaison Committee to study the current Electronically Stored Information Protocol and recommend changes to reflect significant developments in law and technology related to electronically stored information since the Protocol’s original adoption. As part of its review of the proposal, the Court is soliciting comments from the public and the bar.
