Attorney Conference Areas

To assist attorneys who have matters pending in this Court, attorney conference areas are available in each courthouse: Suite 3515 in the Baltimore courthouse and on the first floor in the Greenbelt courthouse. Attorneys should first visit the Clerk's Office to obtain the access code.

These spaces are equipped with a fax machine, hook-ups for one computer, Wi-Fi access, and connections to two printers.  Attorneys are asked not to leave or store their belongings in any of the rooms, including while attending to other matters in the courthouse.  Telephones (and fax machine) are programmed for free local phone calls.  However, calling cards must be used for long distance calls and use of directory assistance is prohibited.

The attorney conference area is intended to be available for use at all times by any attorney with matters pending before the U.S. District Court on a first-come, first-served basis.  The rooms are not intended for extended use by individual attorneys and are not to be used for the taking of depositions.  The conference rooms may be used to meet with clients and witnesses.  However, witnesses and clients should always be accompanied by the attorney while in any of the conference rooms.

Attorneys are expected to use these facilities with care and consideration so that they may be maintained for the benefit of the entire bar.
