Multidistrict Litigation Cases

Multidistrict litigation cases (or MDLs) are cases involving one or more common questions of fact which have been transferred from different districts by the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation to a single district for coordinated or consolidated pretrial proceedings under 28 U.S.C. §1407. 

The following MDL case is currently pending in this Court:

  • In re KBR, Inc., Burn Pit Litigation (MDL No. 2083) was certified and transferred to the District of Maryland on October 19, 2009. This MDL is assigned to Judge Roger W. Titus and currently has 63 pending cases.

Court records in MDL cases are available through PACER or at public terminals located in the Clerk's Office.

Counsel appearing in this Court related to MDL litigation should review the process for being admitted pro hac vice in an MDL case.
