Special Appearances

In limited circumstances, attorneys may enter their appearance in a case without formal admission to the bar of this Court or admission pro hac vice.  These situations include: attorneys appearing in a criminal case, federal government attorneys appearning for purposes related to their employment, and attorneys who are members of the Federal Public Defender's Office or the Office of the U.S. Attorney for the District of Maryland.  Please visit the links below for additional information on each type of special appearance.
