Multidistrict Litigation Cases

Multidistrict litigation cases (or MDLs) are cases involving one or more common questions of fact which have been transferred from different districts by the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation to a single district for coordinated or consolidated pretrial proceedings under 28 U.S.C. §1407. 

The following MDL cases are currently pending in this Court:

 

  • In re Marriott International, Inc., Customer Data Security Breach Litigation (MDL 2879) was certified and transferred to the District of Maryland on February 6, 2019.  This MDL is assigned to Judge Paul W. Grimm and currently has over 80 pending cases.
