The Clerk’s Office of the United States District Court is responsible for the administrative activities of the Court. The Clerk of Court is appointed by and serves at the pleasure of the Court. The Clerk of Court serves as the chief administrative officer of the Court and oversees the management of a variety of functions delegated by the Court. The duties include processing court filings; providing administrative support to court proceedings; reporting statistics; providing for the proper collection, maintenance, accounting, and disbursement of funds; acting as liaison to the public and other agencies; and hiring and managing the Clerk’s Office staff.
