Courts4Civics Program
The United States District Court for the District of Maryland's Courts4Civics program promotes civics education in our local schools and communities, to create learning opportunities and to increase public understanding of how courts work to resolve disputes in our society and to protect our constitutional rights. The Courts4Civics program provides opportunities for schools and community groups to meet with judges and court personnel to learn about the role of the courts in our democratic society. The Courts4Civics program seeks to deliver these services to our students, teachers, and other community members throughout Maryland.
We are looking for educators, lawyers, and other interested community members from Maryland, who would like to assist in the Courts4Civics programs’ mission as a volunteer, a facilitator, a coordinator, a participant in our programs, or other roles. To volunteer and learn more about the program, please contact us.
