On February 22, 2022, the United States District Court for the District of Maryland issued a memorandum opinion in Baltimore County Branch of the NAACP, et al. v. Baltimore County, Maryland, et al., Civil Action No. 21-cv-03232-LKG.  In its opinion, the Court directed Baltimore County to file a new redistricting map on or before March 8, 2022.
