The U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland will be closed for business in both divisions on Friday, November 28, 2025; Wednesday, December 24, 2025; Friday, December 26, 2025; and Friday, January 2, 2026.  

These days will be treated as “legal holidays” for the purposes of Fed. R. Civ. P. 6 and Fed. R. Crim. P. 45.  Electronic filing through CM/ECF will remain available on all days the court is closed.

The afterhours drop box for the Southern Division will not be available on these days; however, the afterhours drop box for the Northern Division located at 4228 U.S. Courthouse, 101 West Lombard Street, Baltimore, MD 21201 will be available.
