The United States District Court for the District of Maryland has approved changes to the CM/ECF security restriction for sentencing memoranda in criminal cases.  Previously, these documents were accessible electronically only to case participants and individuals who appeared in person at the Clerk’s Office using the public terminals.  Effective January 3, 2020, newly filed sentencing memoranda shall be accessible electronically on PACER to any member of the public.  Parties filing sentencing memoranda or attachments with sensitive material should file the documents under seal with an accompanying motion to seal.  Please review the Court’s Electronic Case Filing Policies and Procedures Manual for more information.
