The United States District Court for the District of Maryland has approved publication of the Principles for the Discovery of Electronically Stored Information in Civil Cases. While parties are encouraged to discuss these Principles in appropriate cases, compliance with them is voluntary and not required by the Court.

These Principles replace the Suggested Protocol for Discovery of Electronically Stored Information. They are available on our website.
